Tamamo no Mae
Demon lord of the Ominous Land

name: Tamamo no Mae
species: Spirit Fox
other names: Daji, Lady Kayo, Bao Si, and moreA worldly fox spirit who has always gotten whatever he set his eyes upon. Powerful and unrivaled, Tamamo would roam from land to land meddling and interfering with humans. One day when roaming Japan he came upon a shrine, its lone keeper playing a flute. Enchanted by the melody, Tamamo immediately felt this was the place and person he was destined to arrive at.Although he didn’t approach the shrine maiden immediately, instead choosing to watch from a distance, he came to learn about her. Strong-willed, alone and near forgotten by all, the sole maintainer of a shrine to Inari. Her name was Chiyo. He happened upon Chiyo once more as she fought off a demon and stepped in to save her. Although he easily overpowered it she still did her best to shield him with her magics as well, not one to simply let it go without helping. They grew to become friends and soon, lovers.Although Tamamo still did not understand humans entirely and often found them perplexing he had fallen deep in love with the woman he now called his wife. Before long they were blessed with a pair of twins.Just as everything seemed to be going properly the gods roused in anger that one of their maidens had given herself physically to another. They made to strike down Tamamo and the children with a bolt of lightning from the heavens but Chiyo shoved him aside, protecting her family with her own life.In the despair that followed his wife’s death Tamamo clutched his children to himself and cried. The fox’s grief stirred even the weather and it rained for seven days and nights. His rage and sorrow frightened his children and once he noticed this, Tamamo quickly took the form of a woman to calm them. Instead of raising the twins as their father, he raised them as their mother. There they lived peacefully in the mountains until one day the enchantment hiding their true forms was shattered. A travelling onmyoji sensed the presence of demons and quickly slayed both children, leaving Tamamo to return home to their bodies. And thus began Tamamo no Mae’s revenge.

AU :: Granblue Fantasy
Name: “Tamamo”
Also known as: Tamamo-no-Mae
Race: Astral
Age: ???
Sex: ???An Astral mage who has interfered with the flow of events time and time again. He has a curious disposition and is always interested to see how things will unfold when given a gentle push.Born of exquisite beauty, Tamamo often poses as a woman if it suits his needs. Aloof, strange in his mannerisms and often secretive, it’s hard to say what his true motives may be.It is said he may have also been one of the mages who had a hand in creation of the beast known as Ninpress, a savage nine-tailed beast he regards as an epitome of beauty. One of the few surviving Astrals, Tamamo finds beauty in chaos and the transience of life. He enjoys watching how the world grows and changes, and thus is quite opposed to Lucilius’ plans to destroy and reshape the world. Such a world would show him nothing of interest.-Despite being of Astral heritage Tamamo displays Erune-like qualities, namely the ears upon his head. In battle, radiant, ethereal tails appear behind him.RE :: ChiyoHe met her one night after a long day of work, a woman playing a strange wind instrument. He was instantly mesmerized by the notes carried on the breeze, but he didn’t approach her yet.It was the second time he encountered her that she noticed his staring and spoke up, wondering what sort of beast had gotten his tongue to leave him so dumbfounded.-Tamamo’s fiance and the light of his life was a talented and spirited woman, one who could see right through his guarded and sly demeanor with intense ease. She had a knack for reading people and worked primarily as a counselor.Unfortunately she was one of the many casualties of the war against the skydwellers and her loss left something broken in Tamamo. He immediately went on a rampage against the skydwellers, commanding his beasts to slaughter entire islands until he eventually gave in to exhaustion. He has not forgiven the skydwellers for his loss and every so often plants the seeds of chaos within their numbers, destabilizing generations of various tribes and societies for little more than his vengeance. If it were possible to create a world where Chiyo could live happily, he would give even his own life.
Yamata no Orochi
The Evil God

Sealed away in the boundary between worlds, Orochi could have sworn he was going insane the first time he was contacted by the onmyoji of the Minamoto clan.Fortunately for the evil god he was not fully insane; no, the Minamoto clan sought power from him. It was a suitable agreement and soon he was accepting sacrifices in exchange for traces of his power.Yet he longed to see the world and the beauty of life for himself once more. He began to hatch a plan to escape the void, the lives of the mikos sacrificed to him would become the conduit for his escape.Although some would call Orochi manipulative, he is often very upfront with his desires. He lays out his deals and states the consequences upfront, down to warning Minamoto no Yorimitsu that any artificial spirits he created would be ‘incomplete’.The Orochi formed by the vengeful souls of the sacrificed maidens was something he found pitiable and he was happy to see it extinguished - not only so he could claim his own freedom, but so they would no longer make a mockery of his name.Although Orochi seeks to destroy the other gods as revenge he does not feel strongly one way or another in regards to humanity. Their short lives are insignificant and cute in their fleeting nature. He has a fondness for flowers, especially cherry blossoms.
Hoshiguma Doji
Caretaker of Mt Oe

A dedicated oni that is constantly running around cleaning up after the others, Hoshiguma Doji is no stranger to telling Shuten Doji and Ibaraki Doji the gripes of all the lesser demons living on Mt Oe. He has an almost motherly nature towards his fellow demons and commands quite a bit of respect even despite not being of incredibly high status. When it comes to helping defend their territory, Hoshiguma prefers to use deception and trickery to deter and lead enemies away rather than fighting them head on. In fact, he prefers to avoid violence whenever possible - especially since he might be the one stuck cleaning up the mess!
Hoshiguma Doji brews his own special blend of wine on Mt. Oe. The wine is highly acclaimed and like most oni wine, it’s too strong for most humans.Even though Hoshiguma is distrustful of humans one particular alcoholic managed to befriend him. Whenever they would meet up for drinks, Hoshiguma would find some way to prank his friend, often hiding in the wine tanks themselves in order to spook him.One day, his friend consumed poison and committed suicide by drowning in the wine. Hoshiguma managed to save enough of his soul to turn him into a wine demon, who he now keeps at his side.Deep down, Hoshiguma wishes for spirits and humans to be able to live in peace (and for Shuten and Ibaraki to listen to him and stop destroying things!!)
Enmusubi no Kami
The goddess of bonds

At first glance she is just a simple, broke fortune teller… or performer… or seamstress -- really, she’s just a thrifty girl next door! There is no way this clumsy, bull-headed young lady is a goddess of bonds, right?Enmusubi is indeed the kami responsible for forging bonds - not just romantic, but familial, business, platonic and all sorts of important connections a person forges in life. Unfortunately, few people seem to have faith in her these days -- even Enmusubi struggles with the idea of fated connections when things go wrong.
She is a peculiar woman who follows her heart. Bringing people together is her greatest joy, but it must be a sincere bond. Bonds cannot be purchased or forced or they won’t last.To sincere followers who pray to her she will sometimes grant a red string to tie to their beloved, otherwise most of the time the strings of fate are invisible to those connected. She doesn’t believe in Takamagahara’s view on relationships between humans and spirits. Human, spirit or kami, all should be free to form bonds - there is no such thing as forbidden love!Although kami are generally supposed to avoid being seen by humans, she will often take on disguises or the form of a tuxedo cat to interact with them.
Youko
The charming scholar

TW : murder, cannibalism, stalking, necrophilia, sexual assault
Beautiful on the surface and rotten underneath, Youko is a charming and sharp student. Well educated and quick witted, his appearance is unassuming other than the mask he wears. In reality he is a twisted, amoral man who is responsible for a string of kidnappings and murders of young female shikigami and humans. He prefers to prey upon those who he deems incredibly beautiful - most of those being young women by nature. His victims are preserved, without their internal organs, in a 'collection' of dolls which he is immensely proud of.After being confronted and stopped by Seimei and his companions, Youko claims to have stopped this predatory practice, but is he telling the truth?
-
Youko is a man who believes in fated love, yet he finds a new love nearly every day. He finds a fascination in this hunt, seducing his victims with flattery and poetry. From innocent village maidens to wine-pouring courtesans, few are safe from Youko’s predatory whims. However, not every victim is suited to become one of his dolls -- he is a discerning craftsman who only keeps his favorites for his collection. To Youko, ‘love’ is not a lasting affair - it is a fleeting romance that builds up through the evening and burns until the early morning, quickly discarded once he devours his prey.He is not a powerful demon and although he can command the winds with his fan and has sharp fangs and claws to rend his enemy, avoiding combat altogether is his preference. This is, in part, how he has eluded being sealed by the capitol’s onmyoji.***Please note that he has a high chance of attempting to murder your muse, especially if they are feminine. ***
